Fred`s Pub in Saint Ignace

Pretty good place. Just had a few beers waiting on a friend to catchup passing through. Nice bar and bowling ally.

Friday fish fry is the best in town!

Informed by the wait staff that due to Covid they are understaffed and have new steps to follow. An hour later the food was ready. Fried chicken way overcooked and unedible. Before making excuses, just be honest and say "it will be about an hour for your food. Do you want to wait?" With four waitresses and an under half capacity small bar it wasn't the extra steps. Your cook just sucks!

We had a party of 9 on a Friday. We were seated immediately and opted to be out in the alley so the kids could bowl. The food and service was excellent! We ordered fish baskets, burgers, prime rib hoagie, and chicken strips.

Food was good, but nothing to write home about. Service was good too.

This is one of the most amazing places we ate at. My wife and sister-in-law had a whitefish salad they both said it was wonderful, I had the butterfly shrimp with a salad and cottage cheese, that was great. My brother had the broiled whitefish and loved it. The family run business is a well oiled machine. The freindly atmosphere and the smiling faces tells me that we will definitely eat there again. This is a definite recommend place to try

Food was good but had to wait 30 minutes just for the appetizers due to management ordering, their orders were made before ours.

Wow what a hoping place!! Fred was short in staff due to a family wedding which even he didn't attend. Service was still best we got in our one week vacation. The food well, that was fantastic!!!

Great food, great staff, good beer choices. My wife and I both had broiled whitefish and it was excellent. I had an Oberon draft beer. Fred the owner came over to talk with us. Fred and server Dee were wonderful. It's not on the main road, but don't pass up this gem in St. Ignace.

Great place! We asked a local fella where he would recommend tourist to eat, and he immediately said Fred's Pub. We're SO glad he did... the food was great, the waitresses were friendly and very efficient! Would definitely come back

Service was unbelievably fast, food came within a few minutes of the drinks. The burger and prime rib sandwiches were very flavorful, the chicken sandwich was moist and tasty.No malt power, but a total thumbs up experience!

Waited an hour and a half with very little customers, waitress was quite disrespectful and served many people before my party and I. Would not reccomend

I was not impressed at all with this place. There review showed 4.6 but I did not agree. The fish was fine but a bit pricey for a bowling ally / family restaurant. Staff was very nice but not what I expected .

Came here at 8:45 to get some food, waited until 9:00 and wasn't even waited on once. A family sat down after us and was waited on AND had their order taken. We left before anyone even spoke to us besides telling us to seat ourselves.

Came here for some food and drink and left with a few laughs. Great little pub. My first time in the U.P. I saw the sign for Fred’s figured it wouldn’t hurt to check it out. Our food came out really fast and was pretty good. The staff were all great and worked well together— Mary Kate was such a sweetheart! Not many beers on tap, but I really enjoyed the Oberon.The bowling alley is still closed so hopefully it will be opened back up as soon as things get better!

We come here every time we stop into town. They have a good sized menus with all sorts of seafood you could want. Wait staff is always very nice. What's nice is they even have a bowling alley attached which we always play a game or two before leaving, but it's well separated so it doesn't encroach on the people who only game for food.

Was told this was the best fish, fried or otherwise, in town. I'm not qualified to support that claim since it's the only fish I've had in town. I can say it was very good. Fred even came around to check on people, making sure they were enjoying there food.

We have been here for over an hour and a half... Still no dinner! Steak and burger... Takes minutes to cook! But don't mind us as we watch other people get their food before us that came in after. Never again, Fred's!

Cool older bowling alley attached to a bar/restaurant. Full menu. Fried perch/walleye/whitefish Lions club special was good.

Best owner who loves his family. If you don’t love your family there is probably something wrong with you, unless your family sucks - then all is forgiven. Best bar staff who love fish, if you don’t love fish there is something wrong with you - unless you’re allergic then all is forgiven. Nicest people you will ever meet this side of the Mississippi

Bones in perch, and whitefish still had skin on it. Staff was nice, but a waste of money.

Fred's Pub has a very good menu. It is attached to a bowling alley, so it is a casual restaurant. I ordered the whitefish and it was very good. If I am in St. Ignace again, I will go back.

Best food I've ever had..fish dinner was great..

They had two waitresses for the whole restaurant which was full. So service was pretty slow. Other than that the food was pretty good. I’d come back, just on a less busy day.

Nice friendly environment the food was fresh and didn't take long to get the waiter was super nice and they have a nice selection of drinks it's a nice quiet and low key place that wasn't packed like other restaurants around I'd recommend going
